Many, including us, hoped that they fix these issues and bring proper mod support to the PS4 console. The mods are working just fine on the Xbox One, but on PS4, there are issues.
So, to bring mods to Xbox One and PS4, Bethesda made a move.Įarlier this year, Bethesda announced that they’re going to be bringing mod support on PS4 and Xbox One versions of Fallout 4 and Skyrim.
Unfortunately, mods are only available on PC. But with mods, you can easily enjoy the game for a very long time. But as the world got advanced and with the introduction of great new technologies, these games got even better with user-made mods.īoth Fallout & Skyrim are great, but after playing for a while some people may get bored. Both games initially came out in the 90s. This is bad news as people had been waiting for Fallout 4 mods on PS4 for nearly a year now! Not to mention mods are readily available on PC and Xbox One.Fallout 4 and Skyrim, both are amazing games by Bethesda Softworks. We will provide an update if and when this situation changes. However, until Sony will allow us to offer proper mod support for PS4, that content for Fallout 4 and Skyrim on PlayStation 4 will not be available. We consider this an important initiative and we hope to find other ways user mods can be available for our PlayStation audience. Like you, we are disappointed by Sony’s decision given the considerable time and effort we have put into this project, and the amount of time our fans have waited for mod support to arrive.
This is all thanks to a policy from Sony.Īfter months of discussion with Sony, we regret to say that while we have long been ready to offer mod support on PlayStation 4, Sony has informed us they will not approve user mods the way they should work: where users can do anything they want for either Fallout 4 or Skyrim Special Edition. Bethesda has officially announced that no mods are coming to the PS4 versions of Fallout 4 or The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Remastered.
